and I get up to shenanigans.
and yes I’m still here (as of 2026).
It’s been a hot minute (well, over a year) since I’ve updated my website. The past couple of years have been mostly dedicated to being the primary carer for family, so asides from the GLI MBA and the Hoyoverse Impact4Music concert, I haven’t really been up to much.
I’m still down to chat about projects or shenanigans - my availability may be a bit limited (trying to fit it around being a carer) but do reach out - me [at] creatrixtiara [dot] com.
What do you mean, ‘shenanigans’?
‘Shenanigans’ usually holds a negative connotation - mischief, trouble, deception. I like the word because it sounds fun, creative, with a touch of whimsy rabble-rousing energy - much like the kind of work that I do! (A friend called me an “ethical trickster” which also fits the vibe.)
My work and interests are incredibly interdisciplinary. I’ve worked with a wide plethora of skills and experiences - creative producing & directing, performance art, writing & media, consulting, games culture, journalism, online content creation, activism, advocacy, administration, management, education, youth work, business, events, research, and much much more. I love exploring different fields, trying new things, and experimenting with different ways to express ideas & connect with people.
My core values include equity, inclusivity, accessibility, freedom of expression, truth-telling, and centering the needs of the marginalised. I’ve spent most of my creative career thus far exploring the liminal spaces and lived experiences of being queer, genderqueer, an immigrant, a person of colour, disabled & neurodivergent; while I’m moving on into other interests, those experiences still inform the heart of my work.
Some recent shenaniganery of note include producing, directing, and presenting a Fringe Festival entirely on Animal Crossing: New Horizons; organising a community town hall to discuss options for arts funding outside the Government grants model; producing and directing experimental interdisciplinary performance art for LGBTQIA+ disabled performance collective Quippings; developing a Secret Society-themed online & in-person ARG for The Village Festival; writing about pop culture, current affairs, and interpersonal advice for leading LGBTQIA+ women’s web magazine Autostraddle, and making games about the annoyance of immigration and the Travel Ban - and that’s just scratching the surface!
Currently I’m super interested in bringing performing arts and video games (or other nerd culture) together as well as experience design & immersive performance. Knowing me though, I’m sure there are going to be other rabbitholes to dive through!
