Reimagining Arts Funding Community Discussion: Notes and Transcripts

Here are the notes and transcripts for the Reimagining Arts Funding meeting that took place in late January 2020! We have visual notes/graphic recording + descriptions from Zahra Zainal, the Facebook video plus transcripts from AI Media (with cleanup from Amandine Coget), and some notes from Kam Greville (Arts Wellbeing Collective).

I’ll look through the transcripts and notes to see what resources people brought up in the meeting and link to them. If you have any other resources, do share! Sign up to the newsletter to be kept updated on this and future events.

VISUAL NOTES/GRAPHIC RECORDING

In Service of Nature and Country
Money is NOT a Concept
Accessible (with an app to connect and inform)
No Justifications
Safe… not scared
Commissioning Artists = Normal
Relaxed… lots of time (clock icon)
Integrated
Arts in every building, industry and life! (Image: Plumber holding wrench, triumphant with a sculpture made of pipes)
No more ‘Starving Artist’ (Image: person crossing out words ‘Starving Artist)
