IRIDISCENT QPOC FESTIVAL: QPOC Disability Meetup

  • Hares and Hyenas 63 Johnston Street Fitzroy, VIC, 3065 Australia (map)

A social meetup for QPOC living with disabilities to catch up, hang out and chill out with new and old friends.

Hares & Hyenas is an accessible venue with ease of access for patrons using wheelchairs and mobility aids.

There is an accessible bathroom.

During this event, there will be a designated quiet room/chill-out zone.

Music, noise & bright lights will all be minimised during this event.

As part of IRIDESCENT QPOC Festival, we are running some social meet-ups. It's so rare and precious for QPOC to get to meet, mix and bond with people with similar experiences as their own, so we wanted to use some of our Festival budget to make some social magic happen!

IRIDESCENT is a new arts & culture festival for queer people of colour.
Everyone is welcome in our audience, but QPOC will be on stage and holding the mic.

IRIDESCENT is presented by Hares & Hyenas, Mark Nannup, Mama Alto and Switchboard Victoria.

IRIDESCENT QPOC FESTIVAL is supported by GLOBE LGBTI Community Grants, and by State of Victoria, Department of Premier & Cabinet through the Multicultural Festival & Events Grants Program and the Pride Events & Festivals Fund.

IRIDESCENT takes place on the lands of the Kulin Nations. Always was, always is, and always will be Aboriginal land.
